Natural Eye Makeup Tutorial

Hello and Hi!! It's nearly Ramadhan and it's exciting!!! Haha, besides for religious reason, usually Ramadhan is one of the ways to lose weight. LOL. I have to lose this Ramadhan, like no matter what.

Welcoming Ramadhan, I would like to share a natural eye makeup tutorial for you. Usually, since Moslems are forbidden to eat and drink during the day, of course it will affect our physical appearance. Lack of water and nutrition makes our body a bit weak which resulted in tired-looking face and dry lips. 

Eyes are the window to the soul.

And yes it is scientifically proven that eyes are really the windows to our soul. So it is important to take care of our eyes and beautify as it represents our soul.

If we're weak or tired, it is instantly shown through our eyes. And yes, it might be worse during Ramadhan 'cause we will be lack of water and food. So, why don't you try this natural eye makeup to brighten up your eyes during the holy month?

Hello beauties! Welcoming November, this is my first post in this month. Wow, time flew fast. We're already close to 2014, can't wait!

Around a month ago, I received this latest product from Etude House; Almighty Any Cushion Foundation along with other beauty bloggers for preview. Sorry it took so long since I have been busy these days. Packed with activities and I left my blog on pause.

Etude House Any Cushion has SPF 50 and it comes in very typical Etude House packaging; PINK. Always cute and princessy. Well, I kinda fall for it, it's damn cute! So like any other cushion, the packaging is in a round, compact compartment, only bulkier.

Etude House Healthy Face Movement Bloggers Gathering

I was invited by Etude House Indonesia to attend Etude House Healthy Face Movement Bloggers Gathering  on June 22nd 2013.

Let me explain to you first about what is "Healthy Face Movement"!

Etude House launched this program in order to show that they care about health of women's face. This program is aimed to educate Indonesian women to take a very good care of their skin by doing '3ME' which are cleansing the face with skin care, applying moisturizer or BB cream and cleansing the face again after done with their activities.

This is also the result of my curiosity. Yes, I've been thinking for months and now finally I have the hype-Hada Labo! I bought lotion only because I want to see whether this product works well with my skin or not (well, I don't want to throw away my money in exchange of bad breakouts).

Holika Holika Watery Petit BB SPF 25/ PA++

I always love 'dewy' look, and since my current BB cream (Etude House Shini Star Clear BB Lotion) can't give me that, I've been dying for watery kind of BB cream for so long.

I've always been a big fan of lip product, don't you know that lovelies? LOL. I have a lot of lip products and I always ended up buying lip products in every shopping therapy that I've done. So here it is, another review about another lip product! This time it's a lip tint from Etude House, NEW Fresh Cherry Tint in OR201.

I bought this around 3 months ago, along with my friends. I fall hard for lip stains since it gives me natural finish and suitable for all occassion. Can't afford Benetint though, it's too pricey for me. So, the Korean brands are heaven for me, since mostly they provide from head-to-toe products and still affordable for a student like me.

Etude House Shini Star Clear BB Lotion

I am a picky person, for everything. Even for make up. That's why I would spend a long time to read make up reviews just to buy one product. This time, I'm craving for BB cream. For those who is not familiar with this product, this term "BB Cream" or to be exact "Blemish Balm Cream" is a special cream made firstly by the plastic surgeon and dermathologist to treat post-surgery patients. Plastic surgery? Yep, after the surgery, the scar might formed and to cover and also nourish the skin around the scar, doctors used BB Cream.

Now BB Cream is almost everywhere so I'd be a little surprised if you people never heard about it before. At first, BB cream is only created by Korean cosmetics, but now, it's everywhere in the world. Even the European and American beauty companies are producing it now. For my home country; Indonesia, BB Cream is a relatively new for Indonesian brand. As far as I know the only Indonesian cosmetics brand that sells BB Cream is Caring Colors. The rest is unknown.

So, why I crave for this product? Based on some reviews and trials from my friends' or samples, I can say that:

+ BB Cream is a one step product. Means that BB cream contains Moisturizer, Foundation, and (sometimes) Sunscreen. Pretty easy, eh?

+  BB Cream cover face flaws such as; acne scars and dark spots

So, after a long time survey on the internet and asking my friends about BB Cream, finally I decided to purchase this BB Cream; Etude House Shini Star Clear BB Lotion.

I bought this BB cream out of the blue since I really crave for BB cream but do not that much budget for Etude House Precious Mineral Bright Fit BB Cream (this was on my wish list). Hehe, I didn't buy Missha M Perfect Cover because I already tried it once when my friend gave me hers. Its feature that attracts me so much is its claim for 4-free system (No Paraben, No Ethanol, No Mineral Oil, No Benzophenone). So what's so bad about these ingredients anyway?

• Paraben :  It is reported that parabens can mimic estrogen and disrupt the body's hormone system. It can lead to Breast cancer, many sources says.
• Ethanol :  Ethanol will irritate the skin and eyes.  
• Mineral Oil : Mineral oil should never be used on the hair and skin. Never! Why? Mineral oil clogs the pores and suffocates the skin, which is a breathing organ. Your hair and skin are alive and you must treat them as such.
• Benzophenone :  As a photocarcinogen, it's demonstrated an increase in the production of harmful free radicals and an ability to attack our DNA cells.

See, while the product containing these 4 ingredients might use adequate or safe level of concentration in the product, we have to be extra cautious since we also don't know whether it's true or not. You don't want to gamble on your own skin, right?

So, that's the reason why I purchase this product. Aside from that, I find this BB Cream relatively cheap than other BB Cream. Hehe.. The size is small, for me. But, up until now (around 4 months), this BB Cream still have more than a half of it though I use it for everyday use. One more thing from this BB Cream that I love is that it comes in pump packaging! Yay, I'm not a hygiene-freak, but I'm such a careless person who often end up spilling things here and there, so this is a big yes.

Etude House Collagen Moistfull Firming Eye Cream

I'm back with beauty sample review again this time. In this post I'll review an eye cream from Etude House called Collagen Moistfull Firming Eye Cream. As you know this eye cream is part of Etude House's Collagen Moistfull series.

Well, what is collagen?
Collagen is one of the most plentiful proteins present in the bodies of mammals, including us, humans. In fact, it makes up about 25 percent of the total amount of proteins in the body. Some people even refer to collagen as the glue that holds the body together. Without it, the body would, quite literally, fall apart.

Basically, it gives body tissues form and provides firmness and strength.

So, based on those previous facts we should learn that collagen is essential for our skin, right? That assumption then leads me to this trial. Hohoho. Since I have problem with my dark circles and eye-bags, so I choose this sample for trial.

So, I used this eye cream twice a day; day before I started my activity and at night before sleep. I also applied it on my upper eye and under eye. I used a small amount of it (size of mung bean for each eye) as I learn about it from Beauty Advisers in the Department Stores that I visited sometimes.

The texture is liquid-like. It's not oily, though. And when you apply it, there will be some kind of soothing feeling on your eye. But it's not mint-like feeling. It's relaxing.

So, I've used this eye cream for a month (which spent 5 sachets of sample) and I can say that it's HORRIBLE.

Why?

Because I always have to wake up with so many eye-debris (yuck!). I've stopped using it now and I never experience that horrible morning anymore. I guess the eye-debris created from the cream since it has firming effect. If you try using it, the cream will stiffen quickly to tighten the eye-bags but it ended up making my eye full of debris -_- (it's crystallized) Why is it matter? Because it's hard to remove and my eyes ended up scratched because I rub it in order to remove the debris.

Moreover, by using it for around a month, it doesn't do anything to my eye-bags. o_0

In conclusion...

(+) I love the texture

(+) It's by far the cheapest eye-cream (even the full size)

(-) Do nothing to my eye-bags

(-) Create eye-debris to its residue in the morning after

REPURCHASE? NO.

Any suggestion for eye cream for me? :(

My Dear Enemy in Blue

So yesterday I attended the movie screening at Korean Cultural Center titled "My Dear Enemy" with one of my friends; Reni. Since we're both jobless and thus, have nothing to do, we decided to go. Actually, I have a lame story about yesterday. Haha. We took the Kopaja to reach KCC which located in Equity Tower, SCBD. Usually, we always take the 66 bus. Instead of 66, we took the wrong bus, we rode the 620 bus and ended up in Blok M terminal. Oh my God. I'm so stupid hahaha. So, we took 66 bus from Blok M and arrived safely at KCC. We're around 10 minutes late, so when we arrived the movie was already played. Fortunately we were not that late so we can still enjoy the movie without getting confused.

Jobless

So, I'm officially jobless started yesterday. My internship period was over and now I'm focusing on my thesis. So the first day of my jobless period, I just laying on my bed all day until I found an idea of DANDAN! Hahaha. So, I ended up wearing full make-up but only hang in my room. So, here is my look!

REVIEW: Etude House Hand Bouquet Rich Butter Hand & Heel Cream

So, one week ago I bought this hand & heel cream from Etude House. I always curious enough about hand cream, since I never use any of it before. I thought that hand and body lotion will be enough, hehe. So, I finally get this hand cream of my own. Actually I also falls in love with other hand creams which come in very cute packaging like Etude House Missing U Bee Happy Hand Cream or Tony Moly Tangerine Whitening Hand Cream. In the end I chose this because I think that it will be more handy if it comes in tube and I am pretty reckless.

So this hand cream comes in tube, which I love the most, and the cap is very handy. As I said before, I am very careless so this kind of packaging won't cause me any trouble (spill off, leaking, etc.).

 The product is sealed too, so I have to peel the seal first before trying it on my hand. :)

June Beauty Haul

It's been a long time since I last posted. I've been busy anyway. So, for this new post, I would like to try to share with you about my beauty haul. Hehehe, since I'm a newbie, please mind the quality of pictures and the variety of the products. I promise to do better! :)

What I bought:

So, I ran out of toner a few days ago, and since I find toners are quite expensive to buy, I decided to have emergency toner first, and here it goes: Clean & Clear Essential Oil Control Toner. I used to use this toner with Clean & Clear Facial Wash and Moisturizer during my high-school days. I stop using this a few years ago because it's rare! And because of its temporary rarity, I decided to skip toner in my beauty routine (I know I was horrible). Then, when my toner ran out, I found this in Carrefour, only cost me around Rp 10.000,- (Around $1). I've been using this only for 3 days until now, and I can say that this toner is okay. I have not experienced any soreness or itchiness on my face and it helps my acne too (I have some breakouts due to my hormonal issues).

Repurchase: YES

Then I also bought some babies from Korean cosmetic brand: Etude House. I bought them both online and in counter. I also ran out of my Nail Polish Remover, so I decided to bought it and luckily, Etude House had a promotion of 100% Cash Back! So I got this Nail Polish Remover but I can get same amount of voucher to buy other products. Thanks Etude House Indonesia! After that, I purchase Hand and Heel Cream from Hand Bouquet edition, and it's still wrapped, until now. I haven't use both this products because I haven't needed it yet. Last from Etude House is Tint Gloss. I use it a few times, and it's lovely. But you got to mix it with lipstick or lip tint in order to have good result. I mix it because if I use it alone, there will be no significant color pop out from my lip (I hate that, I always want a hint of clear color on my lip in any occassion). I will upload the swatch later. ;)

Repurchase: Haven't decided it yet

Last product is Tony Moly Mini Tint - Cherry Pink. So actually I was scared to try this lip tint since I tried it before when my friend offered me to try her Tony Tint in Red Apple. Why? Because I look like a dracula whom just suck human's blood when I put that on my lips! Eww. But, since all of my friends are curious about it, I finally purchase it and surprisingly LOVE it! I only need one daub with its applicator and I only daub it on my lower lips. So easy and it saves the product, so that I can use it longer :p.

Repurchase: YES

Besides beauty products, I also bought beauty tools, like this mask sponge. So I was reading a beauty blog when the owner of the blog wipe her face after wash it with this sponge. Then I thought, well it looks good and handy, since I don't have to spend so many tissue to wipe my wet face and I don't have to risk my face hygiene wiping it with towel. So I decided to buy this. It only costs me Rp 9.000 (less than $1). And I can use it for both wiping my face after wash it and after mask!

Repurchase: NO. I guess it will be long-lasting product
