Yeah I know it's always summer here in Indonesia, but recently I went to Japan and it's summer. Who knows you're going to experience summer in 4 seasons country right? Or, even if you just stay put in tropical country just like Indonesia, you might want to scroll down.

Few weeks ago I was invited by Shu Uemura Indonesia to attend private beauty bloggers gathering. Turned out that it's also to introduce the latest foundation from them; The Lightbulb Foundation.

There were few other bloggers, both familiar and new ones like Phanie, Mui, Beatrix, Anggie, and Tania. Each table has a set of products and tools for beauty class.

Hello beauties! Welcoming November, this is my first post in this month. Wow, time flew fast. We're already close to 2014, can't wait!

Around a month ago, I received this latest product from Etude House; Almighty Any Cushion Foundation along with other beauty bloggers for preview. Sorry it took so long since I have been busy these days. Packed with activities and I left my blog on pause.

Etude House Any Cushion has SPF 50 and it comes in very typical Etude House packaging; PINK. Always cute and princessy. Well, I kinda fall for it, it's damn cute! So like any other cushion, the packaging is in a round, compact compartment, only bulkier.

On September 25th, Pond's Institute has released its latest innovation in facial skin care by launching the New Pond's White Beauty Translucent Pinkish White; a cream which doesn't only brightens up skin complexion, but also translucent and glowing!

I was invited to attend the New Pond's White Beauty (Re)Launch event in Hotel Mulia, Senayan. So, let's talk about what's so special about this product that Pond's decided to relaunch it!

What's so special about this New Pond's White Beauty Translucent Pinkish White is the natural ingredients; it contains Korean Ginseng and Saffron.

Typical Indonesian women are long to be fair and beautiful, but now the definition of beautiful has shifted a bit into translucent pinkish white (in Indonesia it's jernih putih merona). Pond's has acknowledged this and fulfill that wish of Indonesian women by using Korean ginseng and saffron.

Actually, I also realized this trend. Personally as a girl, I don't want to be fair and pale. Well, I don't wanna be a vampire like the Cullens. Looks dead and has no soul, eh?

Pond's Institue has become the pioneer in using Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) as one of active ingredients in skin lightening products  in 1975. Wow! 

So, why Korean ginseng and saffron?

Korean ginseng is formulated exclusively to help purifying the skin so that it looks glowing and transform into a translucent pinkish white skin. While saffron flower extract helps to clear up any dark skin and spots from the face. These two good natural essence are combined with the most sophisticated technology from Pond's Institute will help us to get fairer, translucent pinkish white skin.

So the texture for both products is different. For day cream, it has matte finish and it absorbs real quick! Of course this matte finish will be loved so much by most of Indonesians as I believe most of us have oily skin (or, at least normal to oily skin). You can wear this day cream without being afraid of the excess oil after a few hours. Don't forget it also has sun protection, praktis!

As for night cream, it has creamy, rich consistency and it needs some time to absorb. I don't mind with this since it's a night cream, it stays overnight to help repair and improve our skin. So, don't be afraid!

Moreover, both day and night cream are suitable for any skin types. Which means, dry, combination, and oily skin can use these products!

There was also an interesting demonstration done by mr. Birtwistle, of how Pond's active ingredients can get rid of oil in a small kind of vase, and make the blurred words become crystal clear!

LANCÔME Make Up Service - Mat Miracle Foundation

Hello, hello! Last week LANCÔME invited me for their makeup service using the latest foundation; LANCÔME Mat Miracle 24H Foundation. I made the reservation at Seibu Grand Indonesia and again I met Mas Widjaya; the Make Up Artist.

So I came with no makeup (only CC Cream and nothing else) during lunch time (hihi) since Grand Indonesia is just a few walks away from my office.

POND'S 101 High School: Launching of Pond's Acne Complete Solution

On last Monday, August 20th 2013, POND'S launched its latest product line which is POND'S Acne Complete Solution in Kota Kasablanka.

The format of the gathering itself is very unique, it's like entering a classroom where we're taught about acne and skin care by a very good-looking teacher (aka doctor); dr. Eddy Karta SpKK. Before we enter the classroom, there is also other decoration that makes us feel like we're back to our high school.

Bonjour! I'm having another review and it's a product from France; Bioderma. I was given this product for review purpose from Dermanesia; a company which imports, markets, and distributes French dermatological products in Indonesia. 

The product that I review here is Bioderma Sensibio H2O.

Sensitive skin

Sensitive skin makes its presence felt with feelings of overheating and diffuse or localised redness. It easily becomes dehydrated and the subsequent dryness contributes further to its weakness and is accompanied by feelings of tightness.

Depending on the origin, the magnitude and the stage of your cutaneous sensitivity and your specialist’s diagnosis, Sensibio proposes combinations of active ingredients with appropriate textures.

You have a:

• Intolerant skin, normal to combination
• Intolerant skin, dry to very dry
• Skin with redness
• Skin displaying redness and squames

The product comes in a clear plastic bottle packaging with shocking pink cap. I find the color combination very cute. Since it's from France, we can find French words along with English translation on the product. The size is quite big, it's 250ml product. Last longer! (cheap me shows up again, eh?)

On the back of the bottle, there is some explanation along with how to use. It's also hypoallergenic (++++), so must be safe even for sensitive skin! FYI, I don't have sensitive skin.

I love the flip-top cap, though I sometimes prefer pump packaging but the cap is really safe. I brought this product a few times already but it never spilled off. 

So, LET'S TEST IT!

I'm impressed with the performance of this makeup remover! Whoa, though it's water based (unlike any other makeup remover which contains oil and feels really oily on the skin, it does a really GOOD job in removing makeup.

The only product that is hard to be removed (but it removed by this Sensibio in the end) is Maybelline Long Extreme Stiletto WATERPROOF Mascara. 

In conclusion, this makeup remover does such a good job in spite of being water-based product. It can even removes the waterproof product though it needs more effort, but it's clean. Moreover, it doesn't cause me any irritation after using it (usually I experience a little redness and irritation after cleansing my makeup with makeup remover).

What I love the most? The feeling after! Since it's a water-based product, my skin left with a really soft and smooth feeling. No more sticky feeling, no more oil left. It feels like just having water on your skin, only this water cleanse your face thoroughly (but doesn't irritate).

I don't know much about the price since it's not officially available yet in Indonesia. But, I heard some of Indonesians buy this in Singapore or Hong Kong. See? The fame is already here, so let's hope that it will be available real SOON. This is because I really love this. I tried this on my friends and mom, and ALL of them LOVE it.

I proudly say that this is my holy grail makeup remover.

Definitely will purchase this after mine has ran out.
