MIA AMICA Spring/Summer 2016 for Vancouver Fashion Week 2016

Batik is one of Indonesia's heritage which is also highly wearable on daily basis. So wearable that most of the offices choose it as work attire dress code once in every week.

Batik itself is very unique in my opinion, the pattern and the color are only few of many attractiveness that it has. Wearing Batik is a sign of appreciating traditional heritage and now there's no need to worry about being so old-fashioned. Wearing Batik can be as fierce and edgy as wearing any other kind of clothing. Nowadays, we can see more and more clothing brand and designer with modern and simple design for Batik. One of them is MIA AMICA by Priscilla Listia.

MOVIE: The Age of Adaline

On June 17th 2015 I got a chance to attend the premiere of Blake Lively's latest movie: The Age of Adaline from Clozette Indonesia; fashion social network.

You might remember Blake Lively as the enchanting Serena van der Woodsen in Gossip Girl and I think her character is always like that. Indeed in this movie, she plays as Adaline Bowman; a woman who stops grow old after her 29th year and remain 29 years old for almost 8 decades.

Lancome Beauty Bloggers Duel

Hi everyone, hehe, last time I joined the beauty event by Lancome Indonesia. It's actually a launching of Lancome latest mascara; Hypnose Doll Eyes Mascara and a beauty bloggers duel between Hanna and Carnellin.

As usual, my head-to-toe look are mostly comes from thrift market aka flea market (see why I'm naming this blog Fleashion, right?). Hehe, it has been a looong time since I posted my look here, so this post will be a mix of beauty report and my outfit that day. ^_^

So, since there's no dress code for that event, I finally chose to wear this outfit to Mal Taman Anggrek, where the event was held.

WHAT I WORE
  • Stripe Fake Collar - Rp 60.000,00 (around $6) from a bazaar
  • Dark Blue Top - Rp 20.000,00 (around $2) from Pasar 16, Palembang
  • Hearts Legging - Rp 10.000,00 (around $1) from Pasar Senen
  • MCM Sling Bag - Rp 15.000,00 (around $1.5) from Pasar Cinde, Palembang (and it's authentic!)
  • GAP Cardigan - long time collection
  • Purple flats - The Little Things She Needs - Rp 50.000,00 (Around $5) from bazaar in SenCy
Fiuh, done with the outfit, now let's go on talking about the event. The event was fun, we watched how Hanna and Carnellin try to create their look by telling what they want to the Lancome Make-Up Artist; Mbak Hanna and Mbak Chika.

What's interesting was, the bloggers were not doing all the make-up, instead, they should tell the MUA about their idea of look and collaborated together to do the look. Carnellin chose "Doll Look" while Hanna decided to go with "Barbie Look".

In the end, all the guests have to vote for the best look and it turned out at the end that the winner is Carnellin! Yay, congratulations! Thus, Carnellin got the ticket to the next round of Beauty Bloggers Make-Up Duel which is still a secret.

Random: OOTD

Haha, it's been a long time since I posted about fashion or my outfit. Haven't got the time, and for fashion I need someone to take the picture for me. I have no tripod, sigh.. So last Friday I registered for IYCE Innovation Night at Blitz Megaplex Pacific Place. For those of you who are not familiar with IYCE, well we're on the same boat! xD

Yep, I did not have any idea about what is IYCE when I saw some tweets from British Council Indonesia. So, I googled it. Abracadabra! So, IYCE stands for International Youth Creative Entrepreneur. This event is held by British Council and Indonesia is one of the countries which are lucky to join this award. Some of the 'alumni' of this award are Yoris, Ridwan Kamil, Wahyu Aditya, and many more. So, Innovation Night is one of series of event of IYCE.

I attended this event with one of my friend; Reni Tok. The event was so-so though. The idea which is being talked about is too wide I think. Moreover, the speakers is only being given a really short amount of time while the topic is damn wide. Yep, it's INNOVATION in general. So, I gotta say I don't enjoy this event that much. But to be honest, me and my friend enjoyed the food, much. Haha!

Ooops! Almost forget to tell you about my outfit yesterday.. So here it is~

Shirt: Bought at Pasar 16 Palembang - Rp 20.000,-
Pants: Bought by my Mom at Pasar 16 Palembang - price unknown (my best guess is around Rp 20.000,-)
Shoes: Pink Wedges by The Little Things She Needs - Rp 50.000,- (I bought it when there was a really big sale at Senayan City a few months ago)
Bag: Borrowed from my most generous friend; Riska (oh I'm such a bootlicker hahaha)

Phew, that's enough for this post. Hopefully I can post more about fashion so my blog will maintain a good yin and yang. See ya!

Year End Craziness!

So, I went to Year End Crazy Sale at Senayan City this afternoon, and bring these babies home!

And to add more craziness, I even bought two pairs of same shoes model, they're just different in color, hahaha. I bought two wedges, one is pink and another is green. The last one is a oxford-look-alike shoes with some small studs on the front. Actually I wanted to buy the plain one, unfortunately, the quality is poor. :(
And what's more crazy? I only spent Rp 148.500 for them!

*greenie*

*pinky*

*studdie*

But which one is my favorite? Here is the winner...
So, what did you buy for this year end? Tell me! :D

ON|OFF ID

Woohoo! I was on ON|OFF ID last Saturday (Dec 3rd, 2011) at Epicentrum Walk. I went with my friend; Brian (@brianardianto) and we both got the free pass from another friend; Yam. So, since we got the CREW pass, we couldn't get the goodie bag. Sad, but we got other goodie bags and merchandises from booths like VOA, LINTAS.ME, US Embassy, Coins fro Chance, etc. We ended up bringing 3-4 bags! My friend; Brian, is such a lucky guy, if you haven't know, he's always lucky especially when it comes to quiz and challenges. Unfortunately, he couldn't win the Acer Iconia Tablet, instead, he won USB Flashdisk from US Embassy on the photo contest. Overall, this event is not really crowded, I came at 2 pm and stayed until 7 pm. It was not as crowded as the last year's event, anyway. Huhu. Anyway, here is my outfit there, a little bit boring anyway ^^

Me and Brian; the (always) lucky guy
Me in the straw hat :)
This big hat, is f*ckin' heavy! :D
Top: Knit Back Tank from NACASA ; Outerwear: Terasmode Butik; Bottom: DIY Washed-effect jeans; Bag: Phillippe Charriol

My Fave Shoes: from some random handmade shoes store in Legian, Bali

See you next year, Pesta Blogger aka ON|OFF ID !

Internship Fashion Diary: Day #1

Hi all! I'm so glad to post here again. Hoho, so long since the last time I posted some of my photoshoots in my hometown, eh? Just a few days ago, I started doing internship again. This time my position is the translator of the documents needed for the company's subsidiary. My job desks are translating the English documents into Indonesia since the company wants to create bilingual documents and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for its subsidiary and reformatting the SOP into the relevant one according to the template which is already available.

On my other blog, I'm creating posts about my days doing internship in Bahasa Indonesia, while here, I would like to post only focusing on my outfit and other things that catch my eyes. So please enjoy my internship fashion diary!

This outfit is not fully taken since I was thinking about creating fashion diary after I'm home. Hehe. So, I was wearing black shirt under the cropped flowery top and Mango Suit's skirt. I bought the cropped top only for Rp 1.000,- (currency for $1 = Rp 9.174,31193 from Google) at Pasar Senen. The fabric doesn't absorb the sweat, making uncomfortable wearing it under the heat. Fortunately, I'm wearing it in my air-conditioned office. What I love the most from my today's outfit is my skirt. I bought it about 4 months ago at Storge; a factory outlet which sold branded items with lower price (export scrap, last season items, reject products) in Pasar Festival. I got this for Rp 150.000,-. It can be considered as one of my most expensive fashion items since I prefer shopping at thrift market. But I love it, I fell in love from the first time I saw it, making me lose myself despite of the expensive-for-me price. Hahaha. I love the color and the fabric anyway, it's quite thick and the pocket on the both sides of it makes it become more dependable since I can put my cell phone there without creating such attention-seeker (what I'm trying to say is I always afraid to put my cell phone on my bottom pocket since I'm afraid of being robbed, yeah Jakarta is scary :p)

So, that's it for my first day's outfit, wait for the next! :D

When I'm Home..

So, during July-September 2011, I spend my time in my hometown; Palembang. It's not a pure holiday, though. I was doing my internship there in one of the companies there. Kill two birds with one stone, eh? :D

Anyway, It was so tiring doing the internship since I was replacing the permanent staff who was leaving during my period of internship. A lot of filings, writing, and fax-ing. I think I can open my own photocopy store, thanks to those works. ;)

Though I was so busy with my internship, as usual, I will never forget to take some fashion shots in Palembang whenever I'm home. Here is some of them, taken by my friend and of course it was taken in my home's backyard :D

Some of my friends said my expression look authentic and this pic reminds them of their mommas -_- (look vintage, eh?)

jacket: synthetic leather jacket (2008's birthday gift), top: polkadot tanktop ($0.3 from Pasar Senen), bottom: assymetrical skirt ($8 from my friend's sale), shoes: Studio Nine (vintage), bag: classical Louis Vuitton drawstring ($3 from thrift market)

top: vintage shirt ($1.5 from Pasar Senen), bottom: shocking pink mini skirt ($4.5)

shirt: DIY, shirt from Topshop (Free from a DIY contest from girls magazine)

Somethings are different in this photoshoots. I was trying something new, like serious face mimic and trying to look (oh no) sexy. Hahahaha, please don't puke after looking at above pictures. I'm just an amateur. By the way, white shirt wore by me on the last pic is my own DIY shirt (it's Topshop anyway), I put some spikes and chains, and cut off some parts of it, and VOILA..! Hope you like it, I'll post the tutorial, maybe... Sometime :D
