It's another mask time!!! YAY YAY YAY. Mask time is like dessert after meal, it's my favorite. And yes it's another Korean brand that I've got from BNTNews. What's so special with THELAVICOS Nutrition Hydro Gel Mask? It's the Hydro Gel thing, people! Not just a piece of paper on your face~
The mask comes in a box packaging containing 5 separated hydro gel mask. It claims to have whitening and anti-wrinkle ingredients inside.
This mask is perfect to use for all skin types, so you can give it a try whether you have oily, dry, or combination skin. The main ingredients are Swiftlet Nest Extract (it is 200 times better in nourishing your skin than Royal Jelly), Soybean Ferment Extract, Adenosine (anti-wrinkle benefit), Niacinamide (popular as antioxidant and improve the skin appearance), and Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide.
What's unique is the mask itself, instead of using sheet as the material, it is made of hydro gel. Moreover it consists of two different parts; upper face and lower face.

Also, I love how the mask fits just right on my face. Usually when I bought sheet mask from Korea, Japan, or China, it is too small (yes I'm like human-size bobblehead) 😢 but this one fits well since it is made of gel which can be adjusted easily to cover your whole face.
The mask sticks well on my face and I can move freely without being afraid that the mask will fall (usually I wear silicone mask to keep the sheet mask from falling). Very nice, love it!
And yes, since it is made of transparent hydro gel, plus it is stretch and fit any face perfectly, this mask is selfie-friendly~ 😆💓
How to use?
(The side with the transparent film should be used)
2. Remove after 20-30 minutes and gently tap with your fingers to help absorb the remaining serum on your face.
3. Use it two to three times a week
I usually wear it for 20-30 minutes and just remove the mask without any hassle. The feeling after removing the mask is nice, though it's a bit sticky compared to normal sheet mask. Furthermore, it leaves residue on my face it's like the essence is too rich and thick that it takes quite long time to be absorbed. I accidentally rub my face agains the pillow and it leaves residue just like dead skin cells LOL.
I love the gimmick of using Hydro Gel as the material of this mask, however there's room for improvement especially for the essence texture. It could be lighter, I personally think.
And after 3 times of using this mask, I think it does the hydration job well, but for the whitening part, somehow I haven't seen any significant result yet~
What do you think of this hydro gel thing as the next sheet mask trend? Yay or nay?
