Review KICHO Ultra Moisturizing Sun Cream

Living in tropical climate where the sun is up all year round requires extra care for sun protection part. And as much as I hate it, I have to admit that I often forget to put on sun protection due to he unpleasant feeling from the sunscreen. Yes, most of sunscreen has sticky after sensation to our skin, which is why I often skip it everyday.

But my journey to find the perfect sunscreen for me hasn't finished yet. That's why I'm pleased to share with you about my latest discovery: KICHO Ultra Moisturizing Sun Cream.
I've reviewed KICHO product before, but just in case you're not familiar with the brand, let me explain it briefly. KICHO is a global brand originating from South Korea. It commits to provide cosmetics with the optimal natural ingredients for our skin.

One of the best-selling product from KICHO is Ultra Moisturizing Sun Cream. So I was really excited to try this product. Let's review it in details.

Packaging

The packaging is nice and simple. The tube is dominated by white shade with hint of gold lining on the cap. However, I think that there's definitely room for improvement for this product design. I personally found the gold lining not appealing enough. Maybe change the finish a bit? Like instead of flashy, metallic gold, can try something matte?

As for the durability, I think it is made from relatively good material, the cap is easy to open and secure when it is closed. The pump dispenser is also working well.

Testimonial

I like this sunscreen as it provides me the lightweight sunscreen that is absorbed quickly and leaves no sticky feeling on my skin. I also has clear finish with no hint of white cast. The texture is almost gel like and it has pastel yellow color which turn into transparent cream on skin. So far the product has never produce inconsistent texture (clumpy).

It also retains moisture without making my face looks like oil well. So I can recommend this for all skin types since it's not oily but also moisturizing your skin at the same time. More good news is this sun cream doesn't cause me any breakout (note that I have combination skin type).

But the one thing that I don't really like from this sunscreen is..... THE SCENT. For me it's weird and doesn't smell like any herbal scent at all. But it turned out that this perception of unpleasant scent are experienced only by me and my mom. We both agree that the scent is quite horrible. But when I asked my friends to try the product and smell the scent, all of them (5 people in total) said that the fragrance is nice and pleasant. Don't know, maybe it's just me....

Also the product is safe for those of you who are concerned over the halal thing and animal activists, since the product use no animal ingredients.

The price is KRW 36,000 or Rp 630.000, judging from the size it's quite a deal (50 ml). But for me, since I have problem with the scent, I'd say that it's quite expensive and I would try other brands which is more affordable.
